Queen's Manor Parking Lot Update...

Everyone at Victoria Cool Aid Society wants the important CARTS mission to continue despite the fact that some neighbours and tenants are challenged by the additional people it attracts to the location. We are hoping that a more suitable location can be found where fewer will be negatively impacted. The Cool Aid housing team is looking at various possible solutions to bring before CARTS for discussion and decision. Please be patient while we consider some other options. – your friends and partners at the Victoria Cool Aid Society.

Ron, your leadership is so much appreciated. You have not been afraid to step into the 'lion's den', but at the same time you have done so with grace and understanding. As I posted on Facebook, I'm not sure what Jesus would do, but I think the way you are wanting to hear everyone's point of view is a great way to seek the solution that will work.

As you well know and have mentioned, CARTS faced a similar issue several years ago, and the Queen's Manor site became a logical place to connect with our family of awesome street people--because many of them have found a home there. Who knows the most logical place to continue to meet now? If Jesus wants us to feed the hungry, give the thirsty a drink, give the homeless a home, give the shivering clothes, and to visit those who are sick or in prison, then he will give wisdom to the collective heart of CARTS, Cool Aid, and Jordan's. After all, all three entities are involved in the 'business' of making people feel at home.
